American Boy

I love how my LO turned out. It took me awhile to decide what pictures to use and what story to tell. Anyway, this was a fun time. Brett enjoyed being a "model" for me...I put model in quotes because lets be honest...he isn't one! LOL. I can say this because he doesn't read this!

Patriotic Masks

Jen has a new product out today. It is called Patriotic Photo Masks Set. They were so so fun to work with!! I decided to use the one that says "Celebrate" since I don't have any more pictures from the 4th of July to use at the moment. Contemplations by Juli

This is probably going to be a rambling post...so if you don't want to read it, I wont be offended. I just want some place to record my thoughts.

So I realized yesterday that it has been 10 weeks since my last period. I wasn't able to take Clomid the last time I had my little visitor because the Dr/pharmacy screwed up and didn't have it when I needed it. SO, the progress that I made seems to be disappearing and I am once again left with nothing. It is really depressing! Brett thinks I am being impatient and not to get all worried about it, but I am really worried that I just may not be able to get pregnant. I just don't think he understands how much I want to be a mom. He is still scared to be a dad and would prefer to not have that big of a change occur any time soon. I can understand I guess, but what about me?

Hmm...maybe I am hoping no one does read this...

Then there is my dad. I hadn't spoken to him since Christmas when he informed my sister that it would be better if I didn't come with her to his apartment because he doesn't want me to know where he lives. That made me very angry and I almost returned his present. I ended up just letting Vicki give it to him, but I was not going to speak to him. Then he emails me out of the blue last week to tell me congratulations on making it through all the teacher layoffs. Two short sentences later and he says he loves me. RIIIGHT. Whatever dad. I emailed him back (I am trying to do my part. Really though, the reason I did email him back is because I knew Brett would be disappointed in me if I didn't. It had NOTHING to do with my dad. Isn't that sad?)

Anyway, a few short sentences explaining my teaching situation, then a how are things with you? I receive nothing back until Vicki mentions to him today that I keep seeing someone that I am sure is him pop up as a friend suggestion on facebook. (that has been freaking me out!! It is a nickname he commonly used on the computer, but there was no picture. I would have bet lots of money it was him). Turns out it was him, an old account or something. Whatever. I was right. So right after her conversation with him, he emails me back. In the email he is cryptic about his life. Like he can't trust me with any information! How is supposed to make me feel? I hate it! I have no respect for the man anymore and I don't know what to do about it.

Then there is my poor mother, who is taking my advice to go back to school. She is feeling really depressed because she can only afford to do a quarter of school every other quarter. I am trying to help her see that next year she will have financial aid and she can use her employee tuition reimbursement. She keeps thinking that it will take her years to finish and she will be "old and decrepit and then what good is the degree?" All I can do is stress that this way she is working towards something. She has a goal and is focusing on something other than how lonely she is and what my horrible father did to her. I don't know how else to help her.

If that wasn't enough, there is my sister. I love her, but she drives me crazy. She can be so negative at times that I just get so frustrated with her. I really do have times when I want to tell her to shut up, but she is struggling with depression and I don't want to do anything that will make that worse. Plus, I know that telling someone to shut up is not a good solution to anything... I just want her to be happy and get rid of the negativity. I wish I could help her get over her problems. I am worried about her.

Hmm...I have a lot going on. Maybe there is a good reason for me not to be pregnant...too much stress in my life. I need Hawaii! Good thing it is coming up soon! If you made it through this, I am impressed. Sorry to dump this all on you. Even though there is a lot of good things going on, these things have been on my mind in the last two days. I wish I knew a good way to just let all of this off my shoulders, so that I can rest.

Wild Thing!

I now have that song stuck in my head!! THings here are good, I am excited to start my free days with my husband. Tomorrow we are going shopping and probably going to see the movie "Up." Should be pretty fun.

Today has been a busy day. It was the last day of school and I had some interesting adventures. I will tell about them another day. I am too tired right now. Sorry Jen for posting so late! I totally forgot it was Wednesday and the day you are releasing...

Summer Sun

Shel has a new kit out today that is amazing! It is called Summer Sun and I absolutely LOVED it. I will definitely be using this more when I have time...summer vacation is almost here!! I am so excited to have time to scrap more! =)

"New Recycling" and "Red, White, and Blue Adventures"

Sorry that this blog has become pretty much just a scrapping thing. I am really busy with work and if I am not busy with work, I am doing my CT duties. When all of that is done, I just want to sleep! This week has been especially rough. School is almost out though, so I should be able to spend more time updating you all on my life...although with no school, I wont have too many stories to tell!
