"Shabby Spring," "Fresh," and "White Chocolate"

I am getting ready for a trek to Utah, so this is going to be a short post. Sorry I have been really heavy on scapping. When I get home and have my chores done (or not! sometimes!) that is all I really want to do. I just want to relax, turn on the TV, and start creating. I am just having a ball. I keep learning and trying new things. The scrapping community is so great. They really are. And the great thing about this whole hobby is how much Brett wholeheartedly supports it. He truly looks for ways I can improve a LO, he helps gives me suggestions, he remembers what I have done in the past...he is just great. I love that he is so supportive and helpful. Anyway, enough of that! Onto my business for today.

I have two great kits to tell you about. The first one is from Stephanie of Scrappy Cocoa. I just love her stuff. She has such a great style. This kit I knew was going to be an interesting one for me. There is a lot of pink and I am not a fan of pink. I originally decided to try to avoid using it except maybe for accent colors and then I realized that the green and pink were Kyle and Candy's wedding colors! From that came this. I really like it. I spent awhile going through Bethany's WA to find just the right one. I think it turned out pretty well! =) What do you think? The preview to the whole kit that you can get on her blog is linked. She gives you the whole kit at once, so go and download!! I used a template from Moriginals.

This next kit is called "Fresh" and it is by two of the first designers that I came across; Nicole of Digi-Designs by Nicole and Amber of Stolen Moments. They are AMAZING!! Simply amazing. I have LOVED being on Nicole's CT and I am so sad to see it end. The kit previews are linked to their blogs. You must go and download this kit. My LO is below. I worked REALLY hard on this. The raindrop frame around the pictures is a bunch of tiny layers. The clouds are not part of the original picture. Those clouds are an element from Amber. I made my own WA and just had a ball with this. Enough blabbing, here it is. I used a template by Moriginals.

I almost forgot about Shel's newest kit! I REALLY liked this one. She usually goes for several bright colors, but this time she limited herself to three. I really like the result. I have been wanting to scrap our engagement photos and I just thought this was a great kit to use. The preview and my kit are below. Click on the preview to go to her blog to download! BTW, I am pretty sure I used Moriginals again for my template needs. To be honest, I really don't remember, so I am only pretty sure. =)

Have a good evening!

Sweet Flora and Speed Scrap

I need to take care of some business today. Nicole has a fabulous new kit out called Sweet Flora. It was a collab with another of my favorite designers, Vicki of A Work in Progress. Here is my LO and the previews.

Previews are linked to their blogs. You need to go download this wonderful kit!

Another week means another Speed Scrap at Nicole's forum. Here is the information! The flyer is linked to her blog.
Here is the participation prize. Cute huh?

So I am not feeling too well at the moment. It sucks since I have a break from school. I wish I could actually enjoy it! Oh well. At least this means I wont be missing work! I will update when I am feeling better!

Sweet Love and our 2nd Anniversary

So Nicole has her first kit that she is releasing in her stores debuting tomorrow. It is called "Sweet Love" and I LOVED playing with this kit. I used many papers in my LO and really wanted to do more. Check out the preview below and click on it to be directed to her store. Remember it doesn't go on sale until tomorrow! (Valentines Day)

I told you that eventually I would come and tell you about our second anniversary so here it is. I made a LO showcasing one thing he did for me. I asked him to make me dinner instead of taking me out. He decided to make something called Rosemary Chicken. It was SOOOO good! I really liked it. I helped make potatoes and a salad so we had an excellent meal together. Then we cuddled on the couch and watched (complained about how bad the story was is more like it!!!) Armageddon. It was really nice to have a relaxing night together where neither of us touched our computers and we just spent time together. Anyway, here is my LO using Sweet Love. I thought that it might be a little weird making a LO for just the chicken, but Brett really worked hard on it so I want to remember it. That is why we scrapbook isn't it? I think the page turned out cute regardless of the picture. What do you all think?

Garage Band King

I am now on Steph of Scrappy Cocoa's CT. I am super excited to be on her team! She is so talented and I have been a fan for awhile. My blog layout is by her as was the last one. She has a new kit out called Garage Band King. It is GREAT!! I loved playing around with it. Unfortunately, I am having problems with my external hard drive so I don't have the preview at the moment. Sorry Steph! Go to her blog to download the kit. It really is a amazing. Here is my LO.

Formal and Celebrate Love

Quick post tonight. I have to get to bed and sleep! Long week ahead. BTW, thanks for all the suggestions. I found a place in Tacoma that is offering a class on a day I can actually go to class! go figure! And it is only $30. That is not too bad considering I will get the coaching stipend now. Oh, one more thing before I move on to the important matters. We have spent the last two nights playing pinochle with Nick and Lydia. The boys decided they wanted to play against us girls, so we did. Last night we beat them both games. Tonight they wanted a rematch. First game, we begin with a double pinochle and end up winning the game. The second game we begin with a double pinochle AGAIN, but end up losing the game. We set like every hand after the first hand. Third game, last hand is ANOTHER double pinochle. With the hand we had, we were definitely going to go over the winning mark of 150. Hehe. 4 games to 1!! Lydia is my new favorite pinochle partner! =) We are pretty lucky....

Onto scrapping business. Nicole has a new kit out today. It is called Formal. I really enjoyed playing around with this kit. I don't know if I am 100% happy with my LO, but I did enjoy playing with it. Her add-on on Friday is really great. I didn't have a use for it in my LO, but seeing what her other CT did with it is inspiring. Here is my LO and the preview of the whole kit. You definitely need to go get this kit from her!! Click the preview to go to her blog to download!

Shel has a new kit out as well. Her kit is called Celebrate Love. It is an excellent kit!!! I love the colors in this. It is a Valentines kit, but as you can see she added some purple and teal to make it more versatile. Wonderful!!! I hate pink, so I was very grateful. It took forever to get the right picture of Brett, his red eyes kept making him look creepy when I fixed them. So this picture was the best of the bunch we took. I will have to blog about our second anniversary. It was Tuesday. Anyway, here is my LO and her preview. Click on it to go to her blog to download!

Hmm, for this being a short post it sure has taken me longer than I thought! oh well. Goodnight!

Tomorrow: another CT! I am super excited about this one! =)

HELP!! CPR classes? My Love mini-kit

I need a CPR class! I am coaching gymnastics right now and the only thing keeping me from being officially hired is a CPR card. Goodness! I signed up for one class and had to cancel because I was so sick that day. I have tried to sign up for a couple other ones through the school district, but they are booked up. My assistant principal told me just to show up at the class and try to make it in. I can do that, but the second class is the same day as our first meet. Don't know if I really want to miss the first one...but we will see. I don't even know if they will let me in! I have also contacted the city about their CPR classes, but I haven't heard back yet.

Any suggestions for me? Please, anything would help. I am putting in A TON of extra time for gymnastics and I really would like to get paid just a little something extra for it. The stipend doesn't even come close to covering the amount of hours we put in, but every little bit counts! Alright, I will leave you with a LO I completed last night for scraps with spunkitude. She has a really cute mini Valentine's Day kit called "My Love" at her blog. Go download and leave her some love. The preview is linked!

And the Refs win it again...

...for the Steelers. Man, how much do they pay out?!? Seriously. What a crappy way to end that game. Oh well. At least it wasn't against the Seahawks this time.

Last night was an absolute blast!!!! We had several friends over; Darren, Nick, Lydia, Diana, Travis, and Ryan. We watched the game and the commercials and then played "Lips" (it is a karaoke video game). That was pretty fun. I will post some pictures and some videos later. I am just too tired to do that right now. I think I just want to curl up and watch some TV. It was a long day at work. The reason I am posting now is because Nicole requested that I advertise the speed scrap at her forum tomorrow. So here is the poster and the posting prize! Isn't it great? I wont be able to participate tomorrow since I will be at work, but you should totally go if you can. They are a lot of fun! Click on the poster to go to the forum!

CT Layouts

I have two new kits to share with you today...both of them are excellent! The first is Shel's new kit called 100 Days. I absolutely loved some of the elements in this kit, but I could not find the right picture for it!! Anyway, I decided on this picture. I might change my mind later, but right now here is what I created. Hope you like it. Head to her blog to download the great kit! Here is the preview to the whole kit and then my LO.

I modified a template from Jen Caputo for this LO.
The next kit I have to share is Nicole's newest kit called Rustic Grass. This was such a fun kit to play with! I got the links to the kit and immediately sat down and started creating. I just LOVE this kit. You HAVE to go her blog to get it! Aren't my nieces and nephews just adorable? I really love this LO. I think it is my favorite so far.

I modified a template from Midnight Scrapper. Love her stuff. Visit her blog here for SOOOO many great freebies! =)
Here is the preview for the whole kit.
Nicole is starting to sell. Take a look at the flyer and click on it to visit her store!

Last thing to share is my LO for the second lesson in my class. Hope you like it!!

Alright, back to watching the big game. We are having a pretty fun superbowl party for our team not being there! Gotta love friends! Have a good night!
