The day started with me waking up earlier than I wanted since I had fallen asleep around 3:00. Totally my fault, we stayed out late with the friends I got mad at today. Anyway, I had to get up because my mom scheduled a VT appointment for us. I love going visiting teaching and I even love Marianne (who we were visiting), but I didn't have time to eat before and when we came back we barely had time to eat and get ready for church on time.
When we got to church, I made it through about 10 minutes of sacrament meeting before my back started killing me! I went and stood out in the foyer so that I could hear for awhile. It was still killing me, so I decided to go to an empty classroom and lay down which is sometimes all I can do to relieve the pain. So I laid down until the end of sacrament meeting and then I had to go teach a primary class. I had volunteered yesterday to teach, so I had to go. Brett went with me and we ended up having 9 kids in the class. It actually went really well. I am pretty good at management and this was the same age group I taught back in my old ward.
So after church we get home and I am concentrating on getting my back to stop hurting. I have a few minutes to clean up before everyone comes over to watch the Seahawks game. I get it done and then I lay down. I know that the other wife is bringing lasagna, but I don't know if she is planning on cooking it here or not, so I don't start bread or anything. I also don't know how much she is bringing. Anyway, food was not on my mind. She brings it in and says absolutely NOTHING to me about it. Just sets it on the counter and then starts watching the game. About 30 minutes later, my mom asks about the lasagna and says it is getting cold. I ask my friend what she wants to do with the lasagna and she looks at me and says (in a pretty snooty voice) "It was ready when I got here. Do we have any other food?" I got so frustrated with her that I stomp out of the room and start making some garlic bread and a salad. My mom puts the lasagna back in the oven and I hear her talking to her husband about the fact we put in the oven and what does he want to do about that since he is so picky. He comes over to talk to me and I say that "it was cold, I only put it in the oven to warm it up. That is it." (I must admit, I was pretty snappy with him...) He asks if anything is wrong and Brett says it is my back. SO at that point, no way was I going to keep it in the oven, so I take it out. We get all our food ready and I tell everyone to come and get it and I went upstairs to try to cool off.
Brett came upstairs after me and tries to help calm me down. I really wanted to cry, but what could I do?
I think I forgot to mention that my good friend's husband was also over and announced that even though they really didn't want to be nor were they trying to be, they are pregnant. That just crushed me. I am happy for her, but incredibly jealous.
Also forgot to say that the stake play that I love and have put in a lot of time for might be cancelled due to the lack of support from our stake. Pretty pathetic.
So that was my day. Just annoying, crushing, and ...? I wish I could blame this on PMS, but since I don't have my period can I blame it on that? What do you all think?

Sometimes we just have those days. I don't think you have to conjure up a reason - it is what it is. It seems like nothing goes right sometimes and it stinks when you have a righteous desire that you see other people getting what you really want. Plus, your back hurting does not help. Hang in there Juli; it will all work out.
As women it is our right to have unexplainable emotions. I bawled the whole way home from work one day last week and I'd actually had an ok day and wasn't PMS-ing it was just one of those days. You will make it! Love you!
Juli~
Adorable Blog by the way, i haven't seen it as I always use google reader, but I just had to comment. You are totally justified in your behavior. Sometimes people don't think before the say stuff, and the pregnancy thing was a little tacky. Everything will work out. Don't feel bad about having a bad day. Everyone can't be happy all the time! Sending hugs from ID!
Sorry I am a week late in leaving a comment. I agree with the other ladies--everyone has a right to have a bad day. You are always so upbeat and cheerful, so I think it is jarring when a bad day comes around.
Hope things are better this Sunday. Are you back at school yet?
