Every week a couple teachers send out an update letter to our parents with me. I am in charge of it and this afternoon I was trying to get out in a hurry. That means of course that I made a stupid mistake. Instead of pasting the update letter in the email, I sent my sub plans to ALL my parents! How dumb! Luckily, I don't mention any students in a negative way, but I don't think my principal is happy with me at the moment. She said that she didn't like some of the comments I made. I think she might be referring to my bathroom pass policy in my 6th period. I gave them one pass to use until Jan 23rd. If they don't have the pass they can't go to the bathroom. They were taking advantage of the fact that I would let them go whenever they needed to.
I hate the feeling when you know you did something stupid, everyone knows it, and then you have to face the wrath. Goodness, I don't know what my principal is going to say to me...and I really don't want to. Well, maybe I do, but just to get it over with!
Edit: In thinking some more about this, I just want to mention something....The first thing P said to me in response to this email was "Did you mean to send this out to parents?" and I am thinking, "What kind of question is that?!?" OF COURSE I did not mean to send it out to them. DUH! I just do not like her. Oh well, so far the parents have been incredibly supportive. I think that I have a good enough rapport with them by now that they will just think it is funny.
Another Edit: I sent out an apology email to the parents. Brett told me I should have said "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!" hehe. Too bad he didn't think of that earlier!

Have a mentioned that I DON'T like your principal. She seems very unsupportive! Sorry about the embarrassing mistake. I've had plenty of those, but the parents shrug it off. I think most parents tend to realize that teachers are people too, and we do stupid things just like everyone else! Hold your head high, this too will pass!
So I just read the comment you left about my presents. And sadly the answer is yes! Since I was little I've sneaked peaks. Some times I can resist better than others. I hardly ever get caught which is good because Russ threatens to take everything back if he catches me sneaking a peak!
I DID send you card through my e-mail. Right before I made the post on my blog...didn't you get it? Hmmm...maybe i will try sending you something again. Congrats on the Creative Team! I can't wait to see what you come up with!
Ok Juli, I have to admit, that is pretty hysterical!! I can't believe your principal took it so poorly; obviously it was an silly mistake and not really that big of a deal.
P.S. I love your digital scrapbooking work. I've been wanting to get into that for about a year now. I need to get my act together!
