Since I started blogging, I have been trying to be pretty good about protection. I have tried not to give too much information about myself and family.
A friend of mine just posted this and so I decided to watch it.

It was interesting to me. I went back through my posts and took out some information. I also decided to change my picture so that you can't see my last name. I also tried to change all my blog list so that I don't have any last names on there. I think that is one way I can help keep you all protected.
It is just something to be aware of. I am not sure if I agree with the not posting pictures of your children. I think you can do that as long as you are careful elsewhere. What do you all think?

I totally agree on the posting kids pictures. I probably wouldn't blog if I didn't post their pictures. Also, Russ made a good point about having our name on our blog. How many people in the world have the last name Jones?! So he said since I have made our blog "ungoogleable" I should just leave it up. Hope I didn't worry you to much! :)
That is so true! hehe. Lucky you. You didn't worry me, just made me think about it again. I also made my blog "ungoogleable" so I am not too worried.
Eh. I'm not too worried about kiddos pics...obviously. :o) I made our blog unavailable through random google searches and (which it used to be) so now I worry less. Someone would really have to go out of their way to bother us now.

that is weird steph. I agree with you. I think that it would be difficult to do something. It just helps to be aware and careful.
I do think you need to be careful- not posting last names, addresses, pictures of your neighborhood, and only posting about vacations after you get home so nobody knows you are away from your house, and possible using initials for first names. You can always go private, but then I won't check it as often because Google Reader is the best time management tool ever. Threatening comments would make me chnge some things, but other than that i think as long as you are careful you are okay.
