Pros

So at church today the theme of Sacrament meeting and then RS was trials and tribulations. It really made me think of my baby situation. I decided I needed to look at this a different way. Instead of wishing I had a baby, I would think about all the pros of NOT having kids or being pregnant right now. That way, I can be happy in my situation now and if I get depressed I can look over this list again.

Pros of not having a kid right now:
1. No diapers!
2. Don't have to keep a child quiet during any of the meetings
3. Don't have to leave meetings if my child can't stay quiet.
4. Don't have to breast feed (seems like it would hurt. Correct me if I am wrong!)
5. Brett and I are free to spend the evening however we want. He can play his video game and I can scrapbook without worrying about watching a child. Good thing too because we both get VERY involved in our activities.
6. We can leave the house whenever we want without worrying about getting a babysitter or feeling bad about leaving kids with my mother....again.
7. I can sleep all the way through the night!!

If you can think of any more reasons.....Leave me a comment. I already feel a little better! =)

8. You are not being pooped on, puked on, or urinated on.

That's a plus...for sure!!

oh Sad! but I can add to it also. No cleaning up after your child who was fingerpainting in poop all over the bedroom walls, carpet, toys, and then no getting mad that the offending child tried to clean it up with a WHOLE pack of 30 dollar diapers. have you tried fertility monitor OR ovulation tests? I've bought from here: www.saveontests.com a few times.

* You can take uninterrupted naps whenever you want/can.
* You can actually rest if you are sick instead of entertaining the tots in between pukes.

Breastfeeding didn't hurt me but I never loved it. It Makes me feel stinky, sticky and kinda like I have utters. Haha. The bonding aspect is nice, but I bonded just as well when holding bottles for my babes. :o)

Don't they have monitors that tell you when you're ovulating?

You can go to the bathroom and shower in peace and quiet without kids banging on the door or trying to jump in.

thanks for all the add ons. Very helpful! to answer the questions...I have tried ovulation strips, but they never indicated any ovulation. I guess I could try it again, but I don't know if I will get any other results. Thanks Amie for the website. I will check it out. Oh, and sorry about your child and his choice to play and then your cleanup. Doesn't sound fun. Glad I didn't have to do that.

Audrey that sounds wonderful. Feeling good about my situation now.

Thanks again guys. Nice to have friends to help in my time of need. =)

long comment coming....be warned! You don't have to hear a child cry all day long because something is wrong and you can't figure out what. You don't have to be careful with what you eat because your baby gets painful gas from your breastmilk. Breastfeeding isn't all that bad. it doesn't hurt unless you have an infection or your baby isn't doing it right. both of these don't happen that often. it actually is really convient. enough baby talk...I wanted to tell you that your layouts are awesome! I really liked the one you did of your friends baby. one I couldn't see though because your countdow partially covers it :( keep up the good work!

You do have to plan cleaning up yourself and the house around when the kids take naps. Laundry, dishes, and toys are constantly all over the floor and dinner takes three times longer to make because that is when the child decides they need attention. Plus, vacations and travel are much easier without worrying about naps and feedings.
Breastfeeding can really hurt, but that is usually because you and the baby are learning and if you both learn to do it properly it doesn't hurt at all until they get teeth and decide to bite you, but they quickly learn that mom gets mad when that happens!
Stick in there, it will happen when it is supposed to. You are still young and newly married- enjoy this time to get to know Brett better. Plus, it is nice to be both working so you can have money in savings when the baby comes; babies are expensive!
